I've ordered a new Metallica bauble for the Christmas tree this morning. Hopefully it'll turn up before Christmas.

I've no idea what to actually get as my main present though.  Stumped.

Demoted to the 3rd team

I've been demoted to the 3rd team from the 4s this weekend.  Now I have to travel to Dover rather than having a nice easy home game.  It's meant to be 50 an hour winds during the game too! Good job I'm not playing full back.

Just got back from lunch with April and Steve.  Urgh. We ordered far too much.  This was after the starter of chicken thighs. The macaroni there on the left is a side dish!

Sore today

I played my first game in a little while on Saturday. I'm still very sore.  I keep pulling my hamstring which doesn't help.

The weather was horrible too, non stop rain for the entire game. Yeah.

We won 35-0.

Oops, more problems

The Cheese Grater is falling apart, one of the window panes cello out last week. A year ago or so they had to replace a large proportion of the bolts they use to hold the damn thing up due to a few of them failing.  Jeez!  Luckily this one fell onto more glass.

Wow, could they get any better?

My favourite pub (Counting House) with the best barman in the city (Doug) now serves my favourite beer (Sierra Nevada). Only problem is, it's a whopping £1.40 more expensive.  £5.90 a pint.

Maybe I'll just have it when it's James' turn to pay...

The Cloud is alive

It's been a while since I've seen this guy.  We thought he might have retired or died. We used to see him in London Stone where he'd then up at about 6:30 and proceed to neck a pint in under 5 mins before leaving to catch his Cannon Street train.

Why is he called the Cloud (or clown according to James)? Look at his hair for Christ sake.

Just beat April at Stratego.  It was close at the end but I captured the flag.  Good little game.  Took about half an hour.

The last time I played it I was about 12.

After the bath incident I thought she wouldn't come near me for a while but looks like she still loves me after presenting herself on the floor as I came home yesterday.

I've found a new source

Waitrose have stopped selling Orangina in big bottles at our local store so we've been struggling to survive.  I've now found where they store it.  Smaller bottles but I guess it'll have to do.
