Xbox or PlayStation

I'm thinking about doing up my room in the house as a games room and am going to get a new console. I also need a new tv and a new sofa. I think that's all I need. Although a new beer fridge may come in handy.

Now I have two

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation mugs x 2.

Christmas party

Here's a before and after photo from my work's Christmas party.

The Swallows latest gig

Here's some photos from April's band's latest gig.

Some photos from the new office

Last week I moved to to the 10th floor in the Lloyd's building. Here's some photos.
Amongst them are a view from my desk, the Christmas decorations in the tacky reception, some photos of the Lloyd's underwriting floor and the almost demolished building that I posted about 6 months ago.

But on the plus side

I've had some sort of viral illness over the past few days. I'll spare you the details, but on the plus side. I've lost over half a stone!

Christmas cats

I have been pretty much smothered in cats over the past few days. Here's some proof.

That's how we roll

After Christmas dinner and watching national lampoons Christmas Vacation we popped over to some local friend's fir a spot of dominoes...

War wound

Although the cooking at Christmas went well, it was not without its casualties. I burnt my hand on one of the oven racks. Doh!

Christmas day

Christmas went well. We had friends staying over on Christmas eve then a couple more coming over on Christmas day for lunch.

I cooked with a little help at the end for a couple of others. I was pretty pleased with the outcome. Nobody died.

Catch up

I've not posted for a little while so the next few may appear a little out of sync.

Biscuit likes the fire

How long before she sets fire to herself and I have to put her out with a pillow?

Go get her

Nearly broken

The swelling in my hand has pretty much gone down now but the bruising is starting to come out.

Some asshole stamped on it during Saturday's game. Tosser.

I dread to think...

... how much our gas bill will be this quarter.

The new house certainly gets cold in the winter. I was in the house all day on Sunday and Monday and needed the fire on constantly to stay warm.

10 working days left till Christmas

Only 10 working days left till Christmas for me today. It's still too long!

I'm pretty much done on my shopping but there are a few yet to get delivered.

Pain in the neck

I hurt my neck playing rugby nearly 2 weeks ago and it's still giving me grief. I'm having trouble sleeping now which isn't helping matters. Can't be much fun for April too. Perhaps a game of rugby on Saturday will help...

Bloody stamp duty

Grrr...Bloody budget. If we'd have bought our house 6 months later we'd be £4k better off. Gits!

Tuesday 2 December 2014

Yuk!

Out of all the people to sit next to, the guy that must have smoked 400 cigarettes before getting on the train sat next to me. Yuk.

No player of mine will be called Everton

One of my new recruits in my Liverpool save game is a Brazilian called Everton. I can't have that so have changed his nickname to Liverpool.

John Safran talking about his book

After a pretty boozy weekend in London and Winchester the last thing I needed was to head back into London to see John Safran talk about his true crime book Murder in Mississippi, but I'm glad I did.

It was very funny and we both enjoyed it. April even got her book signed.

Day 4.

I've snapped and have put my old shoes on this morning. Let's hope it doesn't rain.

You may have won the battle but I will win the war...

Day 3.

I ended up walking around the office in socks.

Battle of the shoes: Day 2

Ow! My feet bloody hurt. I need to be strong. I will persevere.

Tuesday 25 November 2014

Agony

Bloody new shoes.

4 blisters after 1 day.  I reckon shoe companies are all secretly owned by the pharmaceutical industry.

For every new pair of shoes the average person must go through 2-3 packets of plasters.

That's a nice little earner.

New shoes

I hate breaking in new shoes. The shadow of my feet don't help but why can't they make shoes that don't cripple you? For the next couple of weeks I'm going to be in agony.

Yeah!

My assistant managers

The cats have played as much football manager as I have over the years.

All wrapped up
