 Last weekend we were trying to reuse the oil we used for the salt and chilli prawns.  I decided to make hash browns.

Here was my first attempt!

Turned out pretty good in the end

The oil was still hot so decided to deep fry some pickled onions to see what they turned out like...  Not bad, we'd had pickled onion rings as a snack in Hastings in the summer, minus the batter they were great.
