I had a really enjoyable evening yesterday. I went to a couple of pubs and then had a bite to eat with April and my two old flat mates Harriet and Sophie.
It's good to catch up with them as being on the other side of South London now we don't get to see each other that often.
Another excuse for a BBQ on my balcony.

Off to see Wolfmother tonight
As one of April's Christmas presents I bought her tickets to see Wolfmother, so we're finally off to see them tonight. The best type of present. One you can enjoy yourself...
Should be fun, although April didn't feel too well yesterday after Saturday night's antics. Thankfully she's feeling much better this afternoon.
It's at Hammersmith Apollo. I've been there twice before, once to see the mighty Thunder and again to see Bottom Live 5.

SC Movie Review 13
The Last Kiss
What am I doing watching a film entitled The Last Kiss is the first question I know you are all asking.
No I haven't gone all soppy or even worse turned into a girl, I foolishly let my flat mate go out on her own to blockbusters and choose the movie.
First impressions usually count but then I found out that Zach Braff was the lead so it could have been worse I guess. Thankfully it wasn't actually that bad. There were a few points in the film that we quite funny, notably a fart scene.
His newly pregnant wife asks him if there's anything that he needs to let out into the open. This was shortly followed by a fart. Comedy gold. It works on so many levels.
I would class the film as a drama and that usually doesn't spell out a good film. The story centres around four friends who start to realise that their lives have been pre set out before them, "No more surprises left" and it shows how they cope with it all.
Not a bad film but again it did seem to drag. Perhaps not the best of films for a lazy hungover Sunday.

Babel
I went to see The Last King of Scotland for the second time on Friday. And it was the second time that it was sold out. The first time we ended up going to see Night at the Museum, this time we saw Babel.
I think my summary at the credits summed it up well.
"It could have done with being half an hour shorter..."
3 and a half stories loosely connected together across continents.
It was a beautifully filmed film and extremely well acted but as for something that I actually want to watch, it left me feeling bored. To make matters worse the film was quite sad in places and there were no explosions in sight.
On the up side Brad Pitt looked pretty old (probably make up though).

Feeling a little tender today...
I went out for a few beers with my mate JAmes last night and ended up getting home at about 1am.
When will I ever learn?
We went to Barracuda, a South African pub near work, similar to a Walk About. No food as that's cheating.
I think the whole night cost me around £100! That included two cab journies. One to Waterloo to find out that i'd missed my last train then one to Putney.
Urgh!
