New additions to the garden

 We had the gardeners around this week and they've installed a bird bath and a water butt (not that we'll get any water in it anytime soon.  They put in some new plants too!

It's alive!

The juke box is finally operational again.  It's been out of action for around 6 weeks. It only cost £250 in the end so not the end of the world.  I think it's been updated to windows 10 so that might help.

Suit picked up early

 My suit was available early so decided to pick it up early whilst I was in town.

Two separate friends say I look like Phil Mitchell. 

It's safe, honest...

 Flo refused to balance the egg on her head, but did volunteer to be my beautiful assistant.  Not sure what I was expecting but a little anticlimactic. 

Artillery shell

 Someone at work appears to be using an artillery shell as a water bottle!  It's basically a magnum.

New bike

 With the kids both riding bikes now I can't keep up with them walking to school.  I bought my own new bike and picked it up this afternoon.  We tested all our bikes out on a family ride this afternoon.

Insect shotgun mother fucker!

 I received this father's day present from the kids (April).  It's brilliant.  We get a fair few flies in the house being so close to the river and leaving the back door open of the animals to do their business.

Cricket with Arthur

April usually takes Arthur to his cricket training on Sundays but today we had a change of plan. I took him.  He plays over in Leigh, a village about 10 mins drive away.  

Nirvana cover band

 We went to see a Nirvana cover band last night and they were a lot of fun.  Really enjoyed it!

School summer fete

  We had our school's summer fate on Saturday and the kids had a lot of fun.  I got a little burnt as usual but it was good to see the other families and nice to see all the kids running around in the safe environment.

 Spotted this guy on the train on the way home last night.  A dead ringer for Larry David! 

No sign in slowing down for Arthur

 Arthur grew another 2.5cm since the last measure.  Flo's dipping off but still will be taller than average when it's her 8th birthday in October.

Heron!

 Spotted this guy in central Tonbridge this morning whilst out walking the dog.  I also spotted a swan landing on the way home in virtually the same spot but didn't have my phone out so no picture.  Not the most elegant thing i've seen a swan do?  Not that i've seen it but pretty sure swan landing aren't in Swan Lake.

Hard drive fixed

 The hard drive of our jukebox developed a fault so had to be sent away and get fixed.  I just need to pay (£258) and they'll send it over.  Luckily they managed to save the music stored on it.  Phew. I do not fancy having to sort that out again!

Pizza

 I think we need to practice a bit more.  The first couple were a little crusty round the edge and I had to rotate them a fair few times during the bake but the last lot came out well.  I think it needs a longer warm up of the stone base before shoving them in.

MRI done

 I was in the scanner for nearly 30 mins in the end.  Bloody boring.  They give you headphones and you can choose a radio station but with all the buzzing going on I couldn't hear it.  Should get results in 3-5 days.

Flo has down 21 park runs

 That's a full marathon so she won a free wristband!  Well done Flo!

Idiot

 In a rush to catch a train on Monday night after a few drinks with friends, thought I had time to get a quick train drink.  Upon catching the train and getting a seat I opened my bag to this. Bloody low alcohol!

MRI this morning

 Off to Tunbridge Wells in a bit to get an MRI on my shoulder.  Hopefully they can work out what is wrong with it and sort it out.  Not sure how long it will take the consultant to review the results but hopefully within a week.

Star Wars!

 Managed to get both kids to watch Star Wars with me this afternoon!  Finally.  There were an awful lot of questions but I think they both liked it.  My plan is to get them to watch the lot by the end of the year.

Livewire!

 I saw Livewire last night, an excellent AC/DC cover band with some friends!  They were bloody excellent! 

Present for Arthur

 Many of the school kids chipped in for one big present for Arthur and they got him this.  A play mobile pirate ship!

Belated birthday party

 Arthur had a belated 5th birthday party yesterday.  He had a joint one with his friend Mia from school.  Captain Fantastic was the entertainer and the kids loved him.  Lots of fun.  Arthur had a great time.
