Getting paid is great
Just got my pay check through for February. Get paid tomorrow. Phew! It's been a big one for me this month.
What shall I buy with my beer vouchers that isn't beer. I'm of to New York next Thursday so I want to buy a few things there.

A forward looking week in the life of Stu
Today
I'm off to lunch with April, not sure where yet but that will be nice. Then off out for a few with my old work friends John, Markus and James. Not sure if I want a big one tonight so may just stay for one round each. Although after 4 beers I imagine i'll have changed my mind and end up grabbing a curry.
Tomorrow
I'm off to Guildford of all places (deep SW of London) to play rugby then must dash back into town to head back out to Teddington (deep SW of London) to see Teenage Kicks, a new sit com with Ade Edmonson and Ben Elton.
Sunday
I would like to do nothing but the Carling Cup final is on so will probably watch that. Chelsea v's Arsenal.
Monday
Liz is cooking for the flat. She's a pretty good cook so fingers crossed it'll be good.
Tuesday
April's double booked (Going to the Black Keys) so has two spare tickets for

Wednesday
I'm off to see the http://www.theblackkeys.com/ with the (i'm sure she won't mind me saying this) mental left wing hippie girl I used to sit next to at Lloyd's. Just an anti-coincidence that i'm not going the same night as April.
Plus it's pay day! I'm getting paid a considerable amount more than I was a few months back but somehow i've managed to get myself skint again. Paying for a trip to New York and a nice new TV may have something to do with it however.

I was planning on arranging another trip to the comedy store but i'll just have a quiet night in.
Friday
I've got more free tickets to a comedy show, this time it's a sketch show with Ben Elton. I was supposed to go with Steve but he's called off as has friends staying over the night before the all go skiing. Not sure if I can be arsed going so may have to cancel.

An Egyptian court has sentenced an internet blogger to four years' prison for insulting Islam and the president.
What a load of rubbish. Islam (and Christianity for that matter, and any other brain washing nonsense) should be big enough and ugly enough to take insulting comments on the chin. If someone disagrees with what you say or believe, then so what. In fact good for them for having the balls and conviction to stand up and be heard.

Mmmm, LCD
Took delivery of two new 32" Samsung LCDs this morning.
One for the flat (eventually me) and one for Liz.
£460 a piece, not bad really.

SC Movie Review 16
Hot Fuzz Big Cops. Small Town. Moderate Violence
Ha, ha, ha! Brilliant! The first two thirds of the film were funny enough with plenty of gags and visual amusements but the film only really kicks in for the remaining 40 minutes.
Nick Frost is a comedy genius! "By the Power of Greyskull"
The end reminds me of the beginning scenes of Desperado but instead of dirty Mexican bar, it's set in a lovely country side village.
The 15 rating, probably helped the film, they could have easily have cut on on the swearing (quite a few fs and cs) and perhaps toned down the violence but this would have taken away half the humor. The West Country accent is at it's funniest when they're swearing.

*please note, I have decided to change my rating system for reviewing films. I feel that potatoes are too broad a brush to accurately measure the merits of a film. The difference between 3 and 4 potatoes is too large and could lead to me giving misleading reviews. I thought I could get round this by introducing a decimal place but again this is only really a half measure.
I have decided to use a decimal system as this gives enough detail whilst also allowing enough sufficient differentiation between film ratings.
Retrospectively multiply the potato score by 20 to get your approximate new SC rating
e.g. 3.2/ 5 (3 potatoes and 2 chips) = 64 / 100
