Day off

 I had yesterday off yesterday...

And did my usual walk with the dog.  It was beautiful.  20k steps.  And I also found a pound coin the leaves!  Result.

Soft play on Sunday. Yeah!

There was a joint birthday party on Sunday for a couple of Flo's classmates, they'd had a couple of call offs due to sickness so they invited Arthur too.  It was my turn to take them but because Arthur was there too I had to stay (a bit too young to be left on his own).  The other dads that were there popped to the pub for the first hour.  Bastards!  The kids had a great time though.

Wet legs

April took Flo for a crash course in bike riding this morning. This meant I had to walk to rugby tots with Arthur. His legs got a little wet whilst sitting in his pram.

Full electric

Our new electric car arrives on Tuesday so we got this installed. Fairly discreet. And better than posting a plug through the letter box each time we need a charge like with our current car.

I did get to see Arthur!

Cottage pie bubble

Nothing better than a nice pie on a wet day.

Nativity

I missed the nativity yesterday.  I had a call from the school about Arthur, he had a temperature so they gave him some Calpol and needed to be picked up.  April went and got him then headed to the nativity to see Flo.

He had his flu jab the day before so we think it's just a bad reaction to that.  The injection point is firm and the area around is red.  I had hoped he'd be better by this morning as he'd had a bit of a second wind later in the evening but when we got him up this morning he said he wanted to stay at home.

Luckily the school is putting on two nativities so will get to see Flo later today.  Shame I won't get to see Arthur though as by all accounts he's been excellent in the rehearsals.

More holiday news

We've been given the afternoon of the 22nd off now so got another free half day.

My favourite tree

Not as cold this morning but a bit damp in the air.  This is my favourite tree.  It's nice isn't it?

Arwen got a surprise this morning when she ran past a sleeping pheasant.  It was pretty funny.  I also saw a heron flying which was cool, but it was gone by the time I got my phone out to take a photo.

Not many days of work left this year

The 15th is my last day of work this year and I have the 11th booked off for a West End pub crawl.  I've also got 1 day left to take so that makes it 5 days.  However, i'm off this afternoon to go to the kids nativity and next Friday with have a departmental Christmas social in the afternoon so it's more like 4.  In addition to this I have no work to do.  Urgh.  It gets pretty boring sometimes!
