Pumpkins!

 Here are the pumpkins took from the rugby club last Sunday.  We finally carved the last few yesterday.  Mine is the big one in the second photo.

Morning with the Cratz-Crowthers

 Our friends needed a little help with their kids this morning so they dropped them off round ours.  They were great, we didn't have to do any parenting.  We ended up taking them to Pizza Express for lunch.

 The last bit was pretty hard as the pieces were mostly white.  Good fun though.

 I stacked up the wood delivery in the porch yesterday, there's just enough space for it all.

 We started the 1000 piece lego jigsaw a couple of days ago and it's beginning to take shape.

Yesterday's walk

 I took Arwen out for another lunchtime walk yesterday.  I manage a little over 6km in an hour.  Not bad.  Sometimes i'll do a bit of a run too and get 9km in.

Halloween at their last day of holiday club

 The kids dressed up on Friday for their last day at Barracudas.  They're in a clubs for 3 days this week, we'll have to juggle them for the 2 days without.

 We're down to 17 balls from our initial 30 at the start of the season, so i've used some undercover spies to find out who has taken them.  I've managed to get us back to 30 after threatening to name and shame the culprits.  Here's Arthur reclaiming some of them.

China town

 Arthur was a little sad leaving Hot Wheels ( I didn't buy him any merch).  He soon cheered up when we stopped off in China Town on the way home for some late lunch.

 I took Arthur to see the Hot Wheels show at Wembley Arena on Saturday.  It was good fun and Arthur had a great time.  There's a monster truck version in the new year so I think we'll be going to that too.

Dinner last night

My company took the department out here last night to belatedly celebrate finishing our validation report.

I've been there before but not in it's current guise.  I think it was a Chinese restaurant called Imperial City, and it must have been over 15 years ago.  I think I went with Steve.

Anyway, I had crab to start and a big steak for mains.  I didn't bother with a desert.  When we left it was absolutely pissing it down and got soaked..  I had hoped to grab a cab to London Bridge but everyone else must have had the same idea and couldn't get one.  I think got soaked again walking home from Tonbridge Station.  Doh!

 We bought a popcorn maker for Florence's birthday movie night.  I think it went down well

FM26 Beta?

 There are a lot of rumours floating around the football manager world recently about when the Beta version of the new game will come out.  It's due to get fully released  in early November so there is a good chance to get my hands on it in early this week.  Possibly even tomorrow.

We shall see.

Hot wheels

 I'm off to London on Saturday, i'm taking Arthur to Wembley Arena to see a Hot Wheels show.  It's basically big engined cars, driving round tracks with jumps etc..  He's really into his cars so will absolutely love it.  I need to remember to bring his ear defenders.  It's going to be loud!

 I head up the u6s rugby team at TJs and each group of kids were allocated 30 balls, u7s, u8s etc.  We're 8 weeks into the season and we're down to about 17 balls. We've noticed that whilst our two ball bags are looking sparse, the u7s were bulging so we had our suspicions.

One of our coaches also helps out with the u7s and forwarded on a message the lead coach of the u7s sent back in September.  Busted!  We're going to do an audit next week and get some balls back.  I don't care if you've written u7s on them!!!

New model

The model for my new d&d character arrived this morning. One of our group said she'd paint him for me.

Day off

 One of the perks in my current FTC contract is a free discretionary day to use whenever. In addition to that I have 7 left for the rest of the year. 6 are already booked over the Christmas holiday to look after the kids so that leaves me with 2 spare.

I'm using one today. I haven't had a day's holiday since the start of the summer holidays in mid July ( ignore the day I till off to play test FM) and really feel like having a little break to myself. 

What an I doing? I stayed a bit longer in the gym, had a coffee locally whilst setting out the training plan for the u6s on Sunday. Had a haircut and I've just arrived in London Charing Cross. I'm planning on having a nice little wonder round, pop in for a pint or two at a pub I like and then grab some food in China town before heading back. I might pop into the Chequers for a couple before heading home.

Big weekend for Flo

Flo had 4 shows to perform in last weekend.  We came to the last one on Sunday afternoon.  She did ballet and some Matilda thing.  It was fun.  Well done Florence!

That's come around quickly.  It was only March 17th 2025 when I passed 1m.  Those AI bots that are reading it to learn about the world are going to be in for a shock when they realise how pointless it is.

 Arwen spotted the white line painting robot this morning and was not a fan.

Dead

 My d&d character died on Tuesday night!  We fought a few things but he dies in the last battle by a Death Tyrant.  He got me with a disintegrate beam.  I sadly turned into dust. Only way to bring me back are with the Wish or the True resurrection spell.  The GM has provided me with a couple of possible solutions, but I think i'm just going to take it on the chin and make a new character.
