Improvements

 Just did a sub 12 minute 500m in the pool this morning.  Looking back at my records, 10 weeks ago I was doing this in over 20 mins.  Not a bad improvement. 

This is estimated 500m times as i've not always done 500m, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Somewhere in between novice and intermediate, i'll take that!

 

 I've also been going further on the elliptical bike thing I use.  I'm now up to 10.8km in 45 minutes.  I was close to that a few weeks ago but had a bit of a cold so dropped off a bit.  Back up to full strength now.

It's ramen time

I made a ramen for lunch. Pretty pleased with it.

 Where I will do some actual work

The stereo fits, but I might move it more central with the speakers a little further apart.  Problem is the power lead is integral so would have to rewire it.  I haven't done that since a 1st year  (year 7) technology class.

What this does tell me however, is I do not have enough shit.  I must buy more shit.

I'm very please with the work the guys have done, I think they're quite chuffed too.  They were about to leave when I mentioned that they're also supposed to build me three floating shelves above the desk.  They'll be back next week to install them.

Office update

My new office is potentially getting painted this week, there's carpeting that we need fitted first but I may have it ready at some point next week.

New tablet

After finally breaking my last tablet a 6 months+ ago (water damage, cracked screen), and having a very nice laptop I thought I didn't really need to replace my tablet. However, in reality I don't dare use the laptop in the bath or just throw it in a bag and carry it around with me. It's still fairly heavy and far too expensive to abuse.

I've been looking at replacing it with a new one but couldn't justify spending a lot of money on a decent one so have just put up with not having it. I finally cracked last week when I saw the same one I had for sale on e-bay for $130 delivered.

I'm using it now to post this and am very happy with it. This one also has the capability to add a sim card for roaming data.
