Cooking

We had a bbq with some friends and their kids on Friday, it was good fun.  The kids mostly entertained themselves which was great and the adults just had lots of wine.

I cooked 6 steaks (ribeye and sirloin), and sausages for the kids.  No photos of the steaks which is disappointing but I was too busy tending to them to take a photo.  Over ordered by a couple of steaks (the dog and cat don't seem to mind) but it was a good day.  Flo ended up staying up till gone 9!

Lovely salad

A spot of gardening and outdoor play

With the building works very nearly done, we tied up the back patio and did some play outdoor for a change.

Please play with me

Amazed by the size of her strawberries.

3 whole strawberries

Little sun trap

And... relax

Courgetti for tea

April wanted to get her spiraliser out again and Florence offered to help.  Courgette and carrot spaghetti pesto for dinner.

He insisted on dragging the shopping home

We spent the best part of £100 on steak at our local butchers yesterday and Arthur insisted on dragging it all the way home.  It's going to be very tender.

We've been let out at 4

We've been let out at 4 today to celebrate the queen's jubilee. Little does my company know that I was planning on finishing early anyway. Shall I now finish at 3?

Balustrades are up

We're very nearly at the end of the build.  This was the last major item left to get installed so we're nearly there.  There's a couple of snags but nothing major to get sorted.  Can't wait to have paid the last invoice too!

Mobile gaming

Spotted this when I was dropping Josie off at the vets yesterday.  I guess they just rock up at your house and set up a load of consoles.  Sound fun.

Vampire

First session was last night and as usual there were lots of tangents.  Good fun though.

New play room coffee table's arrived

Although it was delayed by around 6 weeks we really like our new coffee table

Now we have to get rid of a pallet

Looks nice

Josie is going to be fine

I was able to pick Josie up from the vets last night and it looks like she's going to be fine.  She's a little unsure on her feet and is still on pain meds but is easting and drinking like nothing has happened.  Phew.
