With my shoulder being so sore any chance of more swimming records have been on the back burner for the past 6 months, I've decided to try running. It works quite well as I get to take the dog out whilst still getting to exercise on the days where I need to head into London (3 days a week).
This morning I managed a 5k run a whole 45s faster than earlier in the week. A 2.4% improvement. I did have to stop a few times but I'm sure if I persevere that will improve too.
I've never been any good at short distance running, my legs seem to feel weighed down and heavy. It's also a mental thing for me. I'm sure if I just carried on going I'd be fine but I find it too easy to just stop and walk. I need to work on that.
