I took Arwen around Lamberhurst yesterday with the plan to have a nice pub lunch half way through. I got to the Elephants Head at around 12 but it wasn't open yet so decided to carry on and just have lunch in Lamberhurst itself in the Chequers. That wasn't taking walk ins that day because they had a big table of 16 booked in upstairs. FFS. On the way back in the car I passed the Elephant on the off chance that it was open but it was rammed. It wasn't to be. It was a nice walk though.
