My last few blood donations have been in a Tonbridge sports hall. My latest was in a Tunbridge Wells spa hotel. A slightly different experience.

Blood
I gave blood for the 48th time this morning. This time next year it should be my 50th! I missed out on a good year of donations due to living in Chicago and looking after Florence last year so my brother has now taken the lead. Git! He is 2 years older than me though so I think it'll still count as me beating him

Foiled
It turns out that because i'd been to Thailand in the last 6 months I can't give blood. Boo!
As chance would have it they will be getting some superior premium Clark blood anyway. My brother was due for his appointment 5 minutes later. What are the chances of that?
We both work in the city.
We both give blood.
But the blood guys come round every month or so and they have appointments booked all day. I'd like to see the nurse's face when he turns up.

I'm off to give blood for the 29th time this afternoon. Ouch, that's a lot of blood. I even think i've done it a few more times than that.

I really think everyone should do it. Just given them a call and arrange an appointment at your nearest venue. There isn't really an excuse. Unless of course you don't have blood or have acid for blood like an alien.

Donations are down

Come on chaps, blood donations are down 20% in 'young' people. Unless there is something physically wrong with you man up. And I don't want to hear any excuses about having a phobia. It takes 5 minutes and doesn't hurt. In fact, the only excuse is if you are actually gay as they're not allowed to donate.
