Trip to Worthing

 I popped down to Worthing yesterday to see my brother and we popped into a Turkish restaurant sandwiched between a couple of pubs.  It was pretty decent.

 I went out for a joint birthday dinner with my brother yesterday.  We went to Elliot's.  I've been a couple of times before, apparently once with Steve.  Here's the trout dish.  It was one of about 7 things we had.  All delicious.

I had a few beers / wines with my brother last week. Then popped along to Eliot's. Is been before with April 10 years ago it so and it was still excellent.

New graphics card

 I bought my work PC back in November 2019 and the only thing letting down was it's graphics card, why didn't get something more powerful at the time i'm not sure.  Anyway, i've finally bought a new one and it should arrive at lunchtime today.

I've had to buy a new power supply to go with it too as it's fairly powerful.  Not top of the range but certainly at the top end when you look at the benchmarks.  I'm not that way inclined when it comes to fitting things like this so i've enlisted my brothers help to install them.  Hopefully we can sort something out early next week.

Grand parent visit

 We went back to see my  Dad on Sunday.  Probably the last time for a while.  It's a bit of a chore doing 4h of driving only to be able to stay there for 2h.  Once the house is done we'll have to make them head here.  There's plenty of room once we've cleared away all the boxes and shit moved out of the kitchen and play room.

Steve's popping over tomorrow afternoon and will work in my office for a bit before a night out in Tonbridge, i'm missing my D&D session for that.  I hope he appreciates it!

I doubt I will (although we did sit next to Doug Stanhope in a restaurant a couple of hours before his gig at the HA).  I will be one of the 3,500 people going to see Chevy Chase at the Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday.

It's my Christmas present to my brother Steve.

I'm meeting Shaheen at the Hawksmoor on Air Street for lunch before.  Should be good.  I might even pop into the Crobar for good luck.

I'm off to my brother's in a minute for his son's 2nd birthday party. The question in the Clark household is who drives back? Or more precisely who gets to have a drink?

Foiled

It turns out that because i'd been to Thailand in the last 6 months I can't give blood.  Boo!

As chance would have it they will be getting some superior premium Clark blood anyway.  My brother was due for his appointment 5 minutes later.  What are the chances of that?

We both work in the city.
We both give blood.
But the blood guys come round every month or so and they have appointments booked all day.  I'd like to see the nurse's face when he turns up.

What would the neighbours think?

My brother asked for this book as a birthday present this year.  I ordered it a couple of weeks back and it was due to get delivered on the 1st September.  It eventually arrived on Friday, opened, the day of his birthday.  The guys that printed the address label didn't check that my house number wasn't printed so it was passed from house to house until someone openned up the package and found my full address.  Now, not only will I get spammed by Amazon with similar items but all of my neighbours will think i'm a massive geek.  Thanks Steve.
