Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot

 Well, that was an experience!  One of our friends at the rugby club is a member of the Royal Enclosure at Ascot and has been going for 20+ years, she's allowed to bring guests so invited another couple of couples.  Other than being insanely hot being all dressed up all day it was such good fun.

The royals were there and did a horse drawn cart parade before the racing started but we had better things to do and missed that.

The amount of money on show is ridiculous.  We're certainly not poor, but would have easily been in the bottom 1%. But, bottom 1% of the top 1% isn't bad.  If you add everything up it was probably a £600 day (each!).

Flo's pony riding

 April takes Flo 'horse' riding a couple of times a month.  I hadn't any plans with Arthur so decided to take him along too.  When it's cold or wet they do it in a big barn.

Riding hat for Flo

 April took Florence shopping a couple of weeks ago.  She came back with a new riding hat.  She's been borrowing one when she has lessons so it was time to get her one of her own.  The riding had even has it's own hat

Horse riding lesson

Flo had her last rugby tots session on Saturday so we're trying to find something else for her to do. She enjoyed horse riding on holiday so thought we'd give it a try.

 My friends from Tonbridge keep winding me up about getting Flo a pony.  Her enjoying it so much doesn't help!  April and Kate took the girls to another horse riding lesson.

Birthday drinks

  Birthday drinks at the Rock in Chiddingston, where people get round drink driving laws by getting there by horse.  Followed by a few more drinks in the pub garden of the Drum.

We're getting a few things sorted with the new car this week so had to walk to a train station to get back into London.  I'm sure I've taken a photo of this little horse before but do find it strange to see in between light industry and a housing estate.
