Another winner

 Our pub team won the quiz at the Nelson again on Sunday night, but i'm still not feeling great so April went in my stead.  I don't contribute much when I do go but I think we've won it 9 / 10 times.  The locals must hate us.

 We won the quiz again on Sunday.  Not that I had much part in it.  It's 95% down to Kat and Stu.  Our group must win 90% of the time.  Easy money.

We won the pub quiz on Sunday, it's usually April that gets to go but she was tired to I volunteered to help out.  It's mostly moral support as Stu and Kat get all the answers right anyway.  I think they've won the last 4 or 5 they've taken part in.

 

Pointless!

My friend Stuart was on pointless today. It's with his friend Ash who I also worked with at Lloyd's. It was supposed to be on last Monday but was postponed due to the Queen dying.

They won and got two pointless answers in the final round! Will done Stu and Ash!

Green party quiz antics

 It was the Green party's annual quiz on Friday night so the core of the Tonbridge Massive turned out en force to show them all that we meant business.  Not the business of quizzing mind, we came 5th out of 10, we of course meant the business of drinking wine, we we finished very drunk.

Quizzy rascal

Saturday night we were roped into taking part in a charity quiz. It was a great night and we ended up coming second. Our table did win 4 prizes on the raffle though. I won 2 bottles of Biddenden cider so left quite happy.

Walking home from coming 3rd in our local pub quiz got a little spooky with all the fog.

I participated in a friend's cricket club's annual fund raising quiz last night and am proud to say we came joint last... 

 

I did win £8 however on an individual bonus question at the end where I jointly guessed correctly (or was the closest to)

Good fun though although my sat nav didn't help as I nearly didn't make it  IT kindly directed me 4 miles away from the venue, luckily I managed to to find someone who could point me in the general direction.  Not having a phone with numbers and maps makes things fairly difficult.  Hopefully i'll get mine back soon.

5th!

We came 5th in our local's quiz last night. Doh! We were neck and neck with eventual winners but got 0 points on the accumulator round. Answering the first question wrong meant no more points. 1 point for question 1, 2 for 2 etc. Meant our high scoring correct answers weren't counted.

We came second in our local pub quiz last night. £12 winnings! There were 6 of its this week that certainly helped but the major factor was that of Mark Scannell. He must have answered 75% of our answers!

Marked improvement but no cigar

We went to a friend's quiz night at his home cricket club last night to help raise funds for the season.  And not for the want in trying we didn't come last as is usually the way.

We could have come first however if people checked the last question for me.

What's the sum of all the prime numbers under 21?  (1 isn't a prime)

People were shouting numbers at me when I was totting them all up so when I went to the toilet I told people to check the sums as I was pretty sure it wasn't right.  They didn't check them, we lost 5 points instead of gaining 5 in the final question.  Doh!  We could have been 3rd with that.

Also, another question was to name the top 5 ftse 100 companies.  I named two of them and they were scribbled out and replaced with others.  Doh, Doh!

Last yet again

We came last in April's charity quiz last night but at least we had the best name.
