Now I know how Gollum felt

I still can't put my wedding ring on after injuring my finger in Saturday's game.

It does fit on other fingers but not well so don't want to lose it.  It feels really weird not wearing it as it's been on for the past 3 years.

April's birthday present

Whilst in Byron Bay we bought April a Lightning Ridge black opal and got a local jeweler to make a ring for it. Here's some of the pictures he sent through of the process.

Change pot time

As a thank you to April for sorting out the kitchen (still not finished!) I said she could have the change in my change pot to get the diamonds in her wedding ring to go all the way round.
I think she's pleased. £512.84!

How long before I lose my wedding ring?

I keep playing with it, and know before long i'll end up losing it.  I'll have to ween myself off.  For the rest of the day I won't touch it (with my other hand).

Rings finalised

Just got back from Hatton Gardens with April.  I now have a ring that fits (additional rugby injuries permitting) and April now has an engagement ring that doesn't slide around her finger.

Wedding rings

I picked up our wedding rings this lunchtime.  April's ring looks great and fits inside my ring quite easily, but my ring doesn't quite fit, it feels one or two sizes too small.  Doh!  It's not a problem as we can get it resized for free and it only takes a day but it would have been nice to squeeze it on.  As it stands i'm too scared.  The lady said my finger may go down in size in the cold so have taken it home anyway to see if that helps.  Otherwise it'll need to be size Z+1 or possibly even Z+2.  Yikes!

Job lot?

4 members of my rugby team have recently become engaged. I've seen one of the other rings and it's remarkably like April's. Suspicions about us getting in a job lot a are rife. Or maybe we just have good tastes...
