Beef Pho

I made a beef pho today, not bad, although I still can't taste much after the operation.

New toy for Arwen

Trampoline park

With all the rain around at the minute I took the kids for an hour and a half to our semi local trampoline park.

The comand centre

Our baby sitter didn't turn up tonight so I had to stay at home and look after the kids.  It's not the worst as we're only doing one shots at the minute so I can just watch Liverpool in the Champions League, but it is still annoying.  Here's my set up for the night, Liverpool on the left, PSG vs Barcelona on the right and what was football manager, now Total war Warhammer in the middle.

Big walk

Half term starts for us this week and the kids have 2 weeks off!  I'm still on sick leave so I have the kids at home.

It's about 12km in total, 7.5km for the first bit then a spot of lunch and then the last 4.5km on the way back through some orchards so we can nick some apples.

Heating's on

The cat knows what to do when i put the heating on.

Cat's bum hole

FLo made this today with the help of April.  It wasn't in the original design but hey added a cats but hole, much to my amusement!

Smash burgers

 They came out pretty well.

3-0

I beat Arthur 3-0 at chess this morning...

I absolutely thrashed him to begin with but then tried to even it up in bits by giving him tips.  He's pretty good and I know he will beat me at some point but not for a little while.  He and Flo play at school, Arthur usually beats Flo which is good to see as Flo does beat him at most things (2.5 years difference).  I think I might need to ease off a little bit, but what's the point in letting him win?

Contract news

There is no news.  I logged in today to see if there was anything moving (i've told them to contact me using my personal address whilst off), but nothing.  I will chase tomorrow.  Not sure what the hold up is.  My director is my new line manager and has signed it off, so not sure what else needs sorting.

If it doesn't happen, I wouldn't be too annoyed as I would like some time off but I can't really turn down the money side of thigs as it is very good.

Payday next Friday, and my bonus comes out then too!
