I was looking for a loaner umbrella at lunch yesterday and this is what I found.

Anyone missing an umbrella cover?

Took the cover from my umbrella before heading out and it looks like I've been using two covers.

April: Is this yours?

How long?

Just bought myself a nice new umbrella. I wonder how long it'll take for me to lose it.

Caught in the act

I left a pub earlier only to remember that i'd left my umbrella, I headed straight back only to find someone leaving with not only one umbrella but two.  The second being mine.  As soon as I saw him with it he handed it straight to me, he must have known it was mine.  What a cheeky git!  I was quite shocked so didn't say anything but wish I did.  What a stealing swine.

Free umbrellas

My company gave out free branded umbrellas a couple of days ago to anyone in the office who wanted one. Why give them to us? We know who we are. If they are given to people outside the company you get the same brand out there but move it outside the immediate circle of contact. Once lost on a train it's new journey begins.

Maybe it's like those charity helium balloons you release. Whoever's gets posted back from the farthest place get a prize.

Or maybe 7 steps of separation...

New umbrella

I bought a new umbrella at lunch today. £40. We couldn't find the umbrella that April acquired for me from her company so I was stuck borrowing one of April's tiny ones, it barely covered my shoulders. Luckily it wasn't pink.

As it turns out my old one had a two year guarantee. No reciept = No refund.

Doh!

Umbrella

I missed my usual train this morning by 10 seconds so had to grab a later one. That train didn't stop at Cannon Street so I had to walk all the way in from London Bridge. 20 mins+ walk, but that wasn't the problem.

The only day for the past few weeks that I didn't bother bringing a brolly it stated to rain. Great! I walked across the bridge and it was clear I was going to get soaked (or more soaked) so I popped into a shop and bought a cheap £5 umbrella. As soon as I stepped out of the shop it stopped raining.

In future if you need the weather to be good, bbq, wedding, music festival just go out and buy an umbrella.
