Wedding anniversary

It's our 9th wedding anniversary today so we had to move our fancy meal out to Tuesday.  Luckily my mum wasn't doing anything so came down on Tuesday afternoon instead too.  Here's the menu

I had to explain what a 'dutch oven' was to April.  Well.  It made me chuckle.

As an added bonus I have put it through my company as an annual event. Who says romance is dead? You're allowed an event each year for each employee and their partner for up to £150 each.  April chose some very expensive Margaret River wine (Near where she's from in South West Australia) so we very nearly made the £300 target, if it wasn't for the 10pm curfew we would have made it.  However the trick is to get it as close to £300 as possible, any over and it would have counted.

Stinky dog

 First of many

Arwen had her first bath today.  Stinky dog.  We basically half filled a garden trug full of warm water doggy shampoo and kind of splashed around a bit.

I think April got wetter than Arwen.

Pre-lock down haircut

I got April to cut my hair with the clippers yesterday.  Not a bad job.  And a £15 saving.

Check out the war wound on my jaw where Arwen scratched me whilst I was carrying her across a busy road.

Lazy dog

Here's Arwen walking to the nursery to pick up Flo

First time on my own with all 3

Nobody died.

April had a day of on Saturday / Sunday and spent the time with friends in Canterbury.  By all accounts she had a good time.  I survived.

Here's Arthur having a well earned nap in the middle of the day.

Here's me attempting a walk in the park with Flo, Arthur and Arwen.  It was a bit wet and windy so Arwen spent a lot of the 'walk' in the bottom of the pram.

Busy morning

We've finally had the return of the party wall surveyors round the house this morning, we spotted a crack down the side of our house around a month ago which wasn't there when the building works started on the property next door a year ago.

The original survey was done before works started and mentioned no cracks.  The surveyor now needs to go back and look through photos before providing feedback as to whether the damage was directly the cause of next door's builders.

If it is then they will have to fix, however we've now lost all trust with them so will ask for money instead.  Fingers crossed we should have something by the end of next week.

In addition to this we've had another meeting with our architect Phil.  Here he showed us his final drawings with the proposed extension and internal walls removed. We should get these back in a few days so will post them up here then.  It's nice to feel a little bit of progress.

Now to speak to next door about our plans...

Looking through my old YouTube videos

 And found this beaut

Arwen's best impression of a cat

Urgh, the joy of owning a dog

The cleaners are about to arrive so when they do the kitchen I usually take Arwen up to the back garden to keep her out of their way.

Now that she's old enough to go for a walk I can take her a bit further.  I don't think she's going to like this.

I've got a nice waterproof coat that April bought for my birthday and have some new waterproof walking trainers, i'm still waiting on my new over trousers to complete the look.

Yesterday was a bad day

Behind bars where she belongs

She climbed up onto the table and destroyed my headphones.  Luckily I found the missing bud.  Otherwise I may have found it a few days later...

Butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.
